Fixing a shoe with a 3d printed mesh matrix

I came up with an odd idea the other day.. to fix my shoe.. and it worked!?!?

I sketched up a grid pattern in Sketchup pro, exported it as an stl, printed it, put it in my shoe, then filled with shoe goo. Still going strong and its been a month.



I dont know why i did it, but it was fun and cool. Check out the images below to see how it works. Really simple.
